I think sometimes we forget to give ourselves credit because we are too busy thinking about what still needs to be done.
There is always another goal.
Another bill.
Another appointment.
Another thing to fix.
Another version of ourselves we are trying to become.
So we keep moving the finish line and wonder why we never feel accomplished.
But think about how many things you once prayed for that are normal to you now.
Think about the things that used to scare you that you handle without even thinking twice.
Think about how many versions of you had no idea how they were going to make it through something.
And somehow, you did.
You figured things out.
Not perfectly.
Not gracefully every single time.
But you figured them out.
That counts for something.
Maybe you are not exactly where you thought you would be.
Maybe some things took longer than expected.
Maybe you changed your mind.
Maybe life changed the plan for you.
That does not mean you are failing.
Sometimes progress looks like finally knowing what you do not want.
Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary you used to be scared to set.
Sometimes it looks like trying again after you were sure you were done.
Sometimes it is simply waking up and choosing not to give up on yourself.
We are so quick to celebrate the big milestones that we forget about all the tiny moments that actually build a life.
The day you trusted yourself.
The day you stopped chasing something that was hurting you.
The day you started taking your dream seriously.
The day you realized you deserve better.
The day you decided to begin, even though you had no clue what you were doing.
Those moments matter too.
Your life does not have to look impressive every day to be moving forward.
You do not need to have everything figured out to be proud of yourself.
You are allowed to be a work in progress and still love the person you are right now.
So if nobody has told you lately, you are doing better than you think.
You have survived every version of life that tried to convince you that you could not.
And you are still here.
Still learning.
Still dreaming.
Still becoming.
That is something worth being proud of.
